Gaza Strip - February 05, 2025 U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal for his country to "take over" Gaza has ignited widespread anger among Palestinian residents in the war-torn enclave, who have vowed to remain in their homeland despite the threat of forced displacement. In a joint press conference with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, Trump announced a shocking plan saying that the United States will take ownership of the Gaza Strip and redevelop it after Palestinians are relocated elsewhere. "We're going to develop it, create thousands and thousands of jobs, and it'll be something that the entire Middle East can be very proud of," said the president.
