Washington, United States - February 05, 2025 Demonstrators gathered in Washington D.C. on Wednesday as part of a nationwide protest against the Trump administration's early actions. The protest outside the U.S. Capitol is one of a series organized by an online movement dubbed 50501, which stands for 50 protests, 50 states, one day. Protesters aim to push back against a number of measures being put into place by the administration of President Donald Trump, which they said violate federal law and the U.S. Constitution, such as attempts to essentially dismantle the US Agency For International Development (USAID). Affected USAID workers were among the demonstrators. She said the impacts will be felt in the U.S. and abroad. Demonstrators also expressed concern over the influence of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has been tasked with heading up the so-called Department of Government Efficiency.
