Meteor illuminates night sky over Spain
This is the spectacular moment a meteor illuminated the night sky over Spain.
Footage shows the fireball streaking through the atmosphere on February 3 at 8:35 local time.
The meteorite was reportedly visible from Fanzara, Castello, and Sant Celoni, Barcelona.
This left witnesses in awe as it streaked across the sky.
Meteors are created when meteoroids enter Earth's atmosphere at high speeds, causing friction that heats the meteoroid and the surrounding air. This process causes the meteoroid to melt and vaporize, creating a bright trail of light.
