A rowdy passenger who refused to sit down during take-off caused a two-hour delay before she was kicked off the plane.

The woman allegedly insisted on going to the toilet while the Boeing 787 was taxiing at Changi Airport in Singapore on February 6.

She was asked to remain seated and buckle up by an air hostess as the plane moved from the gate to the runway.

However, the Mandarin-speaking passenger went on a rant about how the air hostess was bullying her on Singapore Airlines flight SQ826.

Footage shows the inside of the plane while the woman continued to complain to the cabin crew members.

Other passengers can be heard laughing as she cried and screamed at the flight attendants.

One of the passengers on the delayed flight, Wang Mingyue, said: 'The plane was about to leave, but she wanted to use the toilet. She banged on the door and insulted the cabin crew.

'The plane had to return to the gate because of what she did. She wanted to get off on the plane and take her luggage. She cursed at all of us. What a deranged woman.'

A Singapore Airlines spokesperson said the woman and her friend were offloaded.

The spokesperson said: 'Our pilots assessed the situation and decided to return to the gate to offload the passenger and the passenger's companion to ensure the safety of the other passengers and the operating crew.'

Due to the rowdy passenger, the flight departed two hours late at a little past 3 am.

The airline spokesperson added: 'SIA believes that all our employees have a right to a safe and respectful workplace environment. We do not tolerate any form of unruly or abusive behaviour, whether on the ground or in the air.'
