This is the shocking moment a lift door trapped a dog's lead - pulling both the pet and its owner into the air.

CCTV footage shows the resident entering the elevator with her brown dog on a leash in Zhejiang, China, on February 6.

As the doors slid closed, the rope became wedged in the entrance, dragging the dog upwards.

Upon seeing this, the owner desperately tried to stop the dog from being lifted, but she was also pulled along with it.

Moments later, they both fell to the ground when the rope was dislodged.

The woman quickly stood up as if nothing had happened and was seen pressing the elevator buttons.

Local reports stated that neither she nor her dog sustained any injuries from the incident.
