Brazil: Plane crash in Sao Paulo kills 2, injures 7
São Paulo, Brazil - February 07, 2025 Storyline: A small plane crashed onto a busy road in Brazil's Sao Paulo on Friday, killing two people aboard and injuring seven others on the ground. The plane, a King Air F90 twin-engine turboprop, took off from Sao Paulo at around 07:00 local time en route to Porto Alegre in southern Brazil. According to witnesses, the plane appeared to attempt an emergency landing before colliding with trees and a bus, causing a massive explosion. The two passengers aboard were killed in the crash. After the crash, emergency responders, including local firefighters, police officers, and technical teams, swiftly arrived at the site to extinguish the fire, assist the injured, and secure the area for investigation. As the crash occurred in a heavily trafficked area, ten bus routes were rerouted. The Sao Paulo Traffic Engineering Company (CET) urged residents to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
