A large piece of plasterboard flew off a car roof rack and hit vehicles behind it.

Dashcam footage shows vehicles speeding along a highway when a drywall from the top of a silver-grey car suddenly flies off in Toronto, Canada, on January 19.

It then hit a black Honda CRV, breaking upon impact before pieces struck the filmer's car.

The driver said: 'It's terrible. Fortunately, there is no problem with the PPF. The car in front of me looked like it was about to fall off, so I changed lanes and the wind blew it towards me.'
