Demonstrators against Chinese Embassy plans at Royal Mint Court cause chaos by walking aimlessly with placards
Over a thousand protesters, including local residents and people from the Tibetan, Uyghur, Hongkong and Taiwanese communities rallied outside the Royal Mint Court in Tower Hill in objection to a new Chinese embassy at the site (February 8).
The protesters cited fears of being spied on and transnational repression amongst their reasons for rejecting the plans - which if they are approved, will be the largest embassy in Europe.
The crowd caused gridlocked traffic by walking aimlessly in the road, carrying placards.
