The main phase of construction and decoration for Chongqing East Railway Station has been completed. Set to become operational this year, it will be the largest high-speed rail hub in western China.
The transportation hub boasts a total construction area of approximately 1.23 million square meters, with the station building and related projects covering 120,000 square meters.
The station features 15 platforms and 29 tracks. It is designed as an interchange point among several railway arteries across southwest China.
