Phoenix, United States - February 07, 2025 02/07/2025 09:00 pm (GMT-0700) PHOENIX, Ariz. – At approximately 9:00 p.m. Friday, Phoenix Police responded to a residential neighborhood just west of 99th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. The initial nature of the call for service has yet to be determined. Officers were seen using a loudspeaker to issue commands to an occupant inside the house. They ordered the suspect to exit the residence and surrender. The suspect refused to comply, prompting a barricade situation. Officers from the Phoenix Police Department's Special Assignment Unit (SAU) responded to the location to assist patrol units. They advised the subject to surrender to police or be exposed to less-lethal munitions, including pepper-balls. Phoenix and Tolleson firefighters staged nearby as a precaution. The suspect eventually surrendered to officers and was taken into custody without incident.
