This is the emotional moment five Thai workers who had been held hostage by Hamas returned to their homeland today.

The released men were greeted by relieved relatives at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok on Sunday, February 9.

They were named Watchara Sriaoun, 33, Pongsak Thaenna, 36, Sathian Suwannakham, 35, Surasak Lamnau, 30, and Bannawat Saethao, 27.

Officials said they returned on Emirates flight EK 374, an Airbus A380 double-decker jet that collected them in Dubai.

They were taken hostage by the terror group Hamas during the conflict that followed an attack on the Nova music festival in Israel on October 7, 2023.

Dozens of hostages are now being released as President Trump begins negotiations in the troubled region.
