Sanlúcar de Guadiana, Spain - February 09, 2025 The Civil Guard has seized 55 burlap bales containing 1,580 kg of cocaine in the town of Sanlucar de Guadiana. The operation started after a citizen alerted the Civil Guard about suspicious activity involving several people and vehicles possibly trafficking drugs in the area. Several Civil Guard patrols were dispatched to the location, but the vehicles fled when they noticed the presence of law enforcement. The vehicles were later intercepted, and their occupants managed to escape. Upon inspecting the vehicles, officers discovered the 55 bales of cocaine inside one of them. After weighing the drugs, it was determined to be 1,580 kg of cocaine, with an estimated value of over 100 million dollars. This operation was made possible thanks to public cooperation.
