Tailless Whip scorpion teleporting on my hand

Buy video

Well, not exactly, but they move so fast it seems they teleport. The Tailless Whip scorpion is neither a scorpion, not a spider (as it appears). It is however, in the arachnid family and called an Amblypygid. You may remember this guy (only much bigger) from one of the Harry Potter movies when it was on Ron's head. This is the Australian species Charinus pescotti, and unfortunately, does not get much bigger than this. They have 6 legs. The 2 long-looking legs are sensory legs and they use them to sense where they are. And would you believe, these guys are completely harmless! Not stingers, no venom...only those front grasping arms that reach out to catch prey which they then devour.
