Residents remove huge slab of snow hanging from roof
Residents removed a huge slab of snow that was hanging from their roof.
Locals have been experiencing severe winter conditions due to continuous snowfall and snow squalls in Hyogo, Japan.
Footage from on February 7 shows two men using snow shovels to strike the thick snow until it collapses onto the ground.
On February 4, Hokkaido was battered by continuous snowfall, resulting in 4ft of snow falling n just 12 hours. The extreme weather conditions forced more than 370 schools to close.
The Japan Meteorological Agency said two powerful low-pressure systems are moving on both sides of the country, sending cold air into the region.
Local media reported that the severe winter weather caused major disruptions to traffic and air travel.
