Plane lands with broken nose gear in Brazil
This is the moment a plane landed with broken nose gear in Brazil.
The Aero Commander 690D aircraft registered PT-OQY was arriving at the Bertram Luiz Leupolz Airport in Sorocaba City when the landing gear collapsed on February 10.
Video shows the plane belly landing on the tarmac. The fuselage dragged some 500 metres across the runway before coming to a halt.
Crew and passengers disembarked unharmed.
The flight had earlier departed from Mandaguacu City.
Airport administrator VOA Network said firefighters later arrived to put out a fire caused by a fuel leak at the landing site. The runway was cleared at around 11:15 am.
The Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) said it was investigating the incident.
Local media reported no other flights were affected.
