This is the heart-stopping moment a toddler rolls onto a busy motorway - before being saved by drivers.

Dashcam footage shows the girl named Print, 2, pushing her toy tricycle in front of oncoming cars on the busy Sirisothon Road in Chachoengsao, Thailand, on February 10.

Hero drivers stopped their cars and rushed over, fearing other motorists might crash into the youngster.

Onlooker Preecha Preecharoen, the owner of the dashcam video, said: 'Today, I drove to Paet Riew and saw a child pushing a cart into the middle of the road as I was entering the Paet Riew New Market Center.

'I jumped out of the car to help the driver in front of me just in time. This is a lesson for parents. Take good care of your children.'

The Good Samaritans carried Print back to her father, Adithep Phimwanwong, 40, who lives in an auto shop next to the motorway.

The inattentive father claimed he was watching TV while Print was playing with the family's kittens in the next room.

He said: 'One of the kittens must have run away so she chased after it. But the front of our shop is sloped, which must have caused her to roll toward the road.

'I am lucky there were Good Samaritans who carried my daughter back to safety. This road is normally full of fast-driving cars, so I'm thankful there were no accidents.

'I hope this serves as a lesson to parents like me taking care of young children, to avoid taking their eyes off their kids even for a split second. I've seen similar incidents in the news before, but I never thought it would happen to me. We were lucky this time. I want to thank the kind strangers who saved my daughter's life.'
