A toddler survived when a car ran over him outside a shop.

The two-year-old boy, Nong Gao, was trapped under the white sedan in a parking area outside Chang Bia Srithep Tow Truck and Slide Car Service in Thailand on February 5.

Terrifying CCTV footage shows the vehicle manoeuvring through the parking lot before accidentally striking the child as he played with his friends.

Upon impact, the toddler fell to the ground and became wedged between the car and the pavement.

His cries alerted nearby children, who frantically waved and shouted in an attempt to stop the driver. However, the driver failed to notice and continued moving, trapping the boy underneath.

His grandmother and bystanders immediately rushed to his aid. Mr Nattakitnan Yodsawai, a worker at the scene, helped retrieve the child from under the vehicle.

Due to his small size, Nong Gao was wedged beneath the car rather than being completely run over, which likely saved his life.

He reportedly sustained injuries to his wrist, knee, and right shoulder, along with bruises and a swollen forehead. First responders administered first aid before transferring him to Srithep Hospital for further evaluation.

His grandmother recounted that she had taken him to the market, where he ran off to play ball with other children before falling to the ground—leading to the accident. She urged parents and guardians to closely supervise their children to prevent similar incidents.
