This is the dramatic moment firemen rescue a three-year-old boy whose head was trapped between two concrete posts in Indonesia.

Rescue teams were called after the boy's mother briefly lost sight of him and he became stuck in Lebak district, Banten province, on January 6.

Footage shows the toddler with his head bowed, wedged tightly between the solid house support poles.

Emergency responders arrived swiftly, expertly using a car jack tool to widen the gap and carefully extricate the child from the constricting space.

After being freed, the boy burst into crying.

Iwan Darmawan, head of the Lebak Regency Fire Department, confirmed that upon receiving the report, officers immediately rushed to the scene and began working to rescue the child.

He added: 'Fire officers managed to evacuate the victim in about five minutes by using a jack to widen the pole.'

Darmawan also suggested that the incident was likely the result of a lack of parental supervision.

The officer said: 'As a result of the child playing without parental supervision, the child got into between the pillars, his head couldn't come out again because it was narrow, so he panicked.'

On February 7, another four-year-old boy was rescued by firefighters in Padang City, West Sumatra, after his hand became trapped in a metal handrail.

Reports indicated that the boy's hand was stuck in an iron pipe while exploring the stairs.

Emergency responders used an iron cutter to slice through the handrail, successfully freeing the boy's hand without any serious injuries.
