Crocodile caught after killing three villagers in Indonesia
A crocodile was caught after killing three villagers in Indonesia.
Enraged locals captured the 11ft (3.5m) reptilian beast in West Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, on the evening of February 2.
Footage shows a man tying a rope around the animal's snout while others tightly hold the lines wrapped around it.
Ical, one of the residents who caught the croc, said: 'This crocodile has been wanted for a long time because it killed three victims some time ago.'
He added that three more crocodiles have been spotted along the coastline and estuary, causing fear and disturbance among nearby residents.
A crocodile's bite force is strong, measuring over 3,000 pounds per square inch (psi) - more than enough to crush bones and cause severe injuries.
Around 1,000 people die from crocodile attacks each year worldwide.
