Motorcycle rider carries 3ft tall DURIAN on the back of his bike
A motorcycle rider was seen navigating a busy road - with a massive durian strapped onto the back.
Footage shows the motorist weaving through the traffic while the 3ft (1m) tall spiky fruit occupied the pillion passenger position,
He was careful and stayed on the left-most lane to avoid the heavy fruit from falling off.
The local was on his way to deliver the prized fruit to its buyers by tying it on a metal stand screwed on the back of the two-wheeler.
He balanced it by wearing the strap attached to it like a backpack in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, on February 11.
Onlooker Citra Rahmayani said: 'I was on my way to work when I saw him and the durian. It was so huge. It was the biggest I have ever seen. I wonder what it tastes like.'
Durian is often referred to as the king of fruits in Southeast Asia. Its most notable feature is its potent odour, so strong that the fruit has been banned in some public places, like hotels and public transportation.
Its price varies depending on variety, season, and availability. The most sought-after varieties can sell for the equivalent of hundreds of dollars per kilogramme.
China is one of the world's biggest consumers of the fruit.
Since 2020, durian imports to the Communist mainland have seen significant growth, both in volume and value.
In 2020, China imported 575,000 tons of durians worth 2.2 billion USD from Thailand alone, marking a 78 per cent increase from the previous year.
