Water leak from the ceiling floods hotel room in Indonesia
This is the moment a water leak from the ceiling poured into a hotel room in Indonesia.
The JW Marriott Medan Hotel guests allegedly hung a wet shirt on a fire sprinkler which was activated by being pulled in North Sumatra.
Footage shows the suite being soaked as water continued to surge from overhead. The guests stayed by the door, watching everything become wet.
The shirt on a hanger was still on the sprinkler, as seen in the video.
However, the hotel's sales director, Vina Veronica, said the incident happened in 2020.
She said: 'We need to inform you that this happened in 2020 and has been fully resolved between the guests and the hotel.'
Sales director Vina added the guests were fined. All of the electronics and furniture in the room were soaked.
Vina said: 'Since the matter has been resolved, we will not reveal further information.'
JW Marriott Medan is part of Marriott International, a well-known global hotel chain that operates a variety of properties ranging from luxury to more budget-friendly options.
