Coast Guard sent home 16 Cubans caught near the Bahamas.

The US Coast Guard stopped the migrants approximately 15 miles southwest of Gun Cay and safely repatriated them to Cuba on February 7.

Footage shows the individuals aboard a 25-foot wooden makeshift vessel being spotlighted by a helicopter.

Crews can be seen approaching the boat to assist the migrants back to their country.

Footage released by the US Coast Guard shows one of their crews at sea approaching the boat carrying the migrants.

The Coast Guard said that an aircrew detected the watercraft and notified the watchstanders' crew.

They added: 'The migrants were processed to determine their identity and were provided food, water, shelter, and basic medical attention before being returned to Cuba.'

U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order to 'immediately repel, repatriate, and remove' migrants on his third day in office.
