This is the terrifying moment a feisty snake attacked a woman as she walked across a yard.

The homeowner was walking toward her house when she accidentally stepped on a green rat snake in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 6.

CCTV footage shows the local stomping on the reptile's tail, causing it to immediately bite her leg.

This caused her to scream and run away while the enraged serpent slithered toward her.

She can be seen trampling the animal multiple times until it flees into the bushes.

The filmer said: 'It was a non-venomous rat snake, and thankfully, my mother was unharmed.

'We tried to catch the snake afterward, but it had already disappeared.'

Snakes, like any other animals, attack when they feel threatened or hurt.
