Italian motorbike racing legend poses with young super fan in Thailand
An Italian motorbike racing legend posed for a picture with a young super fan in Thailand.
Luigi Dall'Igna attended the MotoGP 2025 launch, where he met racing fans and supporters in Bangkok on February 9.
Footage shows the Ducati general manager taking a selfie with the youngster, Pungpond Rachata, nine, wearing a similar uniform.
Luigi patted the Pungpond's shoulder and bid him goodbye while the youngster smiled, looking at his parents, who accompanied him in the waiting area of the event.
Pungpond's mother, Sukunraya Juntasri, said: 'He told my son how he really likes his outfit, which is their team's uniform.'
Sukunraya said her son is a racer himself who started training last year.
She added: 'Pungpond started racing in the rainy season. He watched videos of professional racers to learn from their styles.
'He has been interested in studying and learning about MotoGP, especially his idol Marc Marquez.'
Luigi Dall'Igna is an Italian engineer and the current General Manager of Ducati Corse, Ducati's motorsport division.
MotoGP is the top level of motorcycle racing in the world. It features the fastest and most advanced racing bikes, with the best riders competing in races on tracks around the globe.
