STORYLINE:
An event featuring traditional fish-shaped lantern performances was held on Monday in Huangshan City, east China's Anhui Province, to celebrate the Lantern Festival.
A group of international students joined the event and immersed themselves in experiencing the centuries-old folk custom.
Since ancient times, it has been a tradition there to make fish-shaped lanterns to pray for harvest and good fortune and parade with them cheerfully around the Lantern Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month, Feb. 12 this year.
