STORYLINE:
Turkish police seized 600,000 synthetic pills containing drugs and stimulants on Thursday and detained a suspect in northwestern Bursa province, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
The operation followed an investigation by the Bursa Provincial Police Department's Narcotic Crimes Division, which had been monitoring the suspect for alleged drug trafficking, according to the news agency.
The police arrested the suspect in a raid and confiscated 600,000 prescription pills packed in boxes inside a vehicle. These medications are strictly regulated due to their potential for abuse.
Officials from the police department said operations against drug trafficking would continue without interruption, Anadolu added.
