STORYLINE:
The third edition of the Souq Waqif International Dates Exhibition opened on Thursday in Doha, showcasing premium dates and related products from seven countries, with exhibitors from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Algeria, Oman, Pakistan, and Sudan joining local participants.
The exhibition, featuring offerings from 95 companies, will run until February 24.
It displays a wide variety of dates, as well as complementary products such as Arabic coffee, honey-infused dates, nut-filled dates, and date paste.

As one of the largest exhibitions in the region, the event builds on last year's success, when over 80 tonnes of dates were sold, and thousands of visitors attended.
