During the 2025 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, a Unitree Robotics robot captivated audiences with a unique performance of the traditional Yangge dance and handkerchief spinning. The spectacle quickly went viral, making the robot a centre of public attention.

On 12th February, coinciding with the Lantern Festival in the Year of the Snake, the same model of robot made an appearance in Jiande, Fujian, this time dressed in a reflective vest marked "Jiande Police," transforming into a patrol officer.

The robotic police officer patrolled the streets, drawing the curiosity of both residents and tourists. Equipped with basic interactive functions, it could shake hands and engage in simple interactions, adding a fun and festive touch to the celebrations.
