Norway - February 12, 2025 A Merlin Mk4 from 845 Naval Air Squadron (NAS) has completed its annual task as part of Operation Clockwork, delivering a crucial three-year supply of logs to the Lappjordhyta cabins in Norway's Bardu region. This remote cabin, one of the Norwegian Trekking Association’s most secluded sites, received the vital delivery thanks to the coordination of the Commando Helicopter Force’s (CHF) Mobile Air Operations Team (MAOT) and dedicated volunteers. The operation is part of Exercise Clockwork, where the UK’s Commando Helicopter Force (CHF), deployed in Norway, maintains and enhances its cold-weather capabilities. The UK has conducted cold-weather training in Norway for over 50 years, cementing its role as a leading partner in the High North's demanding environment.
