Spain: Firefighters Rescue Dog With Oxygen After Deadly Blaze in Onda

Onda, Spain - February 13, 2025 A deadly fire broke out early this morning in a four-story building on Falcons Street in Onda, claiming one life and leaving a dog in critical condition. The fire began around 4 a.m. on the fourth floor, with three fire units from the Plana Baixa and Espadà-Millars fire departments rushing to the scene. As firefighters searched the apartment, they found the deceased victim along with two dogs. One dog was dead, while the other was rescued and immediately given oxygen to revive it. The fire caused extensive damage to the living room, with smoke affecting the entire apartment. Local police and Guardia Civil evacuated the building as a precaution while the fire was extinguished. In a separate incident, firefighters also responded to a blaze in Tales, where the first floor of a single-family home was damaged. The occupant was treated for smoke inhalation symptoms.
