Driver 'stabs bus conductor' during queue dispute at gas station in Indonesia
A road rage driver allegedly stabbed a bus conductor during a queue dispute at a gas station in Indonesia.
Arief Rahman, a Damri bus crew member, was reportedly attacked by Juriadi, a Pajero driver, after a heated argument in Bandar Lampung on Sunday afternoon, February 2, around 4 pm.
Local media reported that the incident began when the Pajero car abruptly cut in front of the bus while waiting in line.
Arief firmly reprimanded the suspect, insisting he followed the queue properly. Angered and frustrated by this, Juriadi went outside his car and approached the victim. He then reportedly took out a sharp weapon and attacked the victim.
Footage shows a group of men on the road, with the man in the black leather jacket appearing to assault the bus conductor.
Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Senior Commissioner Yuni Iswandari, said that the suspect had been arrested by investigators shortly after the incident.
He added: 'We have checked with the Bandar Lampung Police, and it is true that this incident of assault with a sharp weapon occurred. We have secured the perpetrator, and he is currently in the process of further investigation.'
Yuni confirmed the victim suffered a laceration on the middle finger of his right hand and a stab wound on his upper left chest.
