Boy aged 16 is seriously injured after being stabbed in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, England
West Midlands Police have recovered 2 knives after a 16-year-old-boy was stabbed on Pretoria Road in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham.
Officers descended onto the terraced street at around 3.30pm on Saturday 15 Feb.
Later that evening, a large group swarmed Heartlands Hospital where the boy had been taken and police responded in numbers.
On Sunday, a search by officers uncovered two knives discarded in drains.
West Midlands Police Statement: ‘We are investigating after a teenager was stabbed in Bordesley Green, Birmingham yesterday (Saturday).
‘We were called to reports of a stabbing in Pretoria Road at around 3.30pm.
’A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.
‘An investigation is underway to establish the details.
‘We are also investigating reports of disorder involving a number of people at a Birmingham hospital which is believed to be linked to the stabbing incident.
