London, United Kingdom - February 15, 2025 Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets of London on Saturday to protest against the proposals by the United States to "clean out Gaza" and urging the government of the United Kingdom to stop providing military assistance to Israel. Demonstrators carried signs reading "Hands off Gaza," "Stop the war," and "Stop arming Israel," marching toward the U.S. Embassy in London to voice their outrage. Protesters expressed their shock at the U.S. proposals to "clean out Gaza" and "take over Gaza" and disappointment in UK's continued military aid to Israel. "Just solidarity with the people of Palestine, objection to our government funding arms. So what do I think of it? Just absurd," said Richard Higgins, a protester. "We're playing an active role and it's saying that we British citizens are a complicit. Because if you don't say neutral, you're going to be a complicit involved. So that's the main reason why I'm here," said Joseph, another protester. Organizers estimated hundreds of thousands of people attended the rally, making it the largest protest in the UK since the Palestine-Israel conflict broke out in October 2023.
