Widespread Flooding in Vergie, Kentucky, Washes Away Roads and Homes

Severe flooding has devastated parts of Vergie, Kentucky, submerging roads and homes under rising waters.
Video filmed by Lonnie Rowe shows the creek, which is typically 40-45 feet wide, now stretching at least 125 feet across. Rowe describes the destruction, noting that several roads have been washed away, along with many homes in the area.
Despite the devastation, he shares a message of resilience, saying, "A helpless feeling, but God has taught me that material things can be replaced. Praying for everyone right now."
Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect as emergency crews continue rescue and relief efforts in the region.
