From 70mph winds and 3.5 inches of rain to a snowstorm, Central Kentucky is facing a dramatic shift in weather. Filmed by @ErinCPerryman in Burgin, KY, the footage captures how temperatures dropped overnight, transforming rain into snow and icy conditions by Sunday morning. After continuous rainfall on Saturday, a flood watch was issued for most of Kentucky, with severe flooding reported across the state. As temperatures plummeted, a winter weather advisory was issued until 6 p.m. Sunday, with snow accumulation expected between 1-2 inches in the central and northeastern regions. Dangerous driving conditions, slick roads, and gusty winds of up to 40 mph have led to low visibility and the risk of downed trees, limbs, and power lines. Governor Andy Beshear has urged residents to stay safe as the state grapples with the effects of this extreme weather.
