Snow blocked doors amid blizzards in eastern Canada.

Residents have been experiencing severe winter conditions, leaving accumulated powder on their doorsteps in Curling, Newfoundland and Labrador, on February 15.

Footage captured by Connie Boland shows a pile of snow barricading the doorway.

Connie said: 'It was a difficult situation for us because we have been enduring this snowfall for months now, and we just had a major late-weekend winter storm.'

Weather forecasters warn that the incoming system could bring significant snow and ice, with northern New Brunswick expecting approximately 30-40 cm (11.8-15.7 in) of snowfall. Officials advise residents to avoid non-essential travel due to hazardous road conditions.

Approximately 65 per cent of Canada's landmass is covered in snow for more than six months of the year. Winter storms are common across the country and can include heavy snowfall, blizzards, blowing snow, freezing rain, ice storms, wind chills, and extreme cold temperatures.
