US, Los Angeles: Calabasas Calabasas Landfill Protest Part 2
Los Angeles, United States - February 15, 2025 02/15/2025 12:10 pm (GMT-0800) CALABASAS, Calif. – Protesters began marching in the 5300 block of Lost Hills Road Saturday morning to protest the dumping of toxic waste in a landfill close to schools and a community. A group of protestors had close encounters with truck drivers demanding that the trucks not transport toxic materials to the landfill that would potentially endanger the lives of residents, including vulnerable children in the surrounding community. Sheriff's deputies arrived to control the crowd as they had a few close encounters with drivers in the area. The protesters marched toward the 101 Freeway and continued to march on local businesses.
