São Paulo, Brazil - February 16, 2025 Maracatu Bloco de Pedra is the largest maracatu group in São Paulo, with a percussion orchestra made up of approximately 100 musicians and a dance troupe. The instruments are divided between alfaias (typical maracatu drums), agbês/ganzás, gonguês, snare drums/taróis and timbais/djembes, bringing to the performance all the vigor of Brazilian percussion which, combined with the choreographed movements and steps of the dance, provide the audience with a captivating performance experience.
