Severe snowstorm caused chaos in Colorado.

Residents have been experiencing extreme winter weather conditions, resulting in risky road travel, particularly on I-70, one of the state's busiest highways.

Local media reported that continuous snowfalls and snow squalls have caused significant delays, multiple vehicular accidents, and road closures.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for northern Colorado's mountain regions, while Grand and Summit counties are under a winter weather advisory until 18 February.

The agency urged travellers to prepare for extensive delays, hazardous conditions, and significant traffic disruptions.

'We highly encourage everyone to avoid mountain routes if possible and stay updated on the latest weather and road conditions,' they added.
