Lost seal found wandering through streets in Connecticut
A lost seal was found wandering through the streets of Connecticut.
Police discovered the hapless juvenile marine mammal crawling past homes in New Haven.
Footage shows the animal lying on the snow-covered pavement.
Authorities contacted the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to help transfer the seal to Mystic Aquarium's Animal Rescue Program.
The vets who examined the animal said that the seal was only a few weeks old, was lethargic, dehydrated, and underweight.
It is currently receiving specialised care and a strict diet to regain strength before being released back into the wild.
