"My Chinese name is Qi Qige. I'm an international student from Comoros. I've been living in China for over five years.
When I was a child, there was an ice cream vendor near my home. The vendor was a Chinese man and the ice cream he sold was delicious. At that time, I told my mother that when I grew up, I would like to go to China to eat ice cream every day."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): MROIVILI FAOUZIA, Comorian student at Tianjin University
"When I was in high school, I took part in a 'Chinese Bridge' competition held in Comoros, winning an opportunity to come to China to participate in the final competition. When I came to China, I found that the real China was different from what I had known and understood in my head. China has everything, and you can learn anything you want here."

In 2019, Faouzia embarked on a long-anticipated journey to study in China, where she immersed herself in the unique charm of Chinese culture.

During her studies in China, Faouzia has developed a keen interest in ancient Chinese characters, especially the oracle bone script.
