STORYLINE:
Jordan and Kazakhstan signed multiple agreements on Wednesday to enhance diplomatic and economic ties.
During Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Jordan, the two countries signed an agreement and four memorandums of understanding that concern investment partnerships, nuclear energy issues, industrial collaboration, and media cooperation.
King Abdullah II of Jordan said that Tokayev's visit was an important opportunity to build on the strong relations between the two countries and expand private-sector cooperation. The king commended Kazakhstan's efforts to enhance investment cooperation.
Highlighting the two countries' shared positions on international developments, Tokayev expressed his nation's keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation to serve mutual interests.
The Kazakh president expressed his country's support for Jordan's stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. Tokayev praised the kingdom's efforts to provide aid to the strip.
The two leaders also discussed other critical developments in the region, including efforts to promote stability in Syria and Lebanon.
