A pet dog appeared unfazed by the snow in Ontario.

Footage shows the canine proudly facing the swirling winds and fresh powder, seemingly unbothered by the harsh weather in Hamilton on February 17.

When the wind briefly dies down, the pooch quickly shakes its fur and comfortably settles onto the ice-covered ground.

The severe winter conditions have been continuously battering residents, affecting roads, transit, and air travel.

Hamilton recently recorded a significant 32 cm (12.5 inches) of snow from the storm, as reported by Environment Canada.

Authorities have advised locals to stay indoors if necessary and avoid travelling on the roads.

Approximately 65 per cent of Canada's landmass is covered in snow for more than six months of the year. Winter storms are common across the country and can include heavy snowfall, blizzards, blowing snow, freezing rain, ice storms, wind chills, and extreme cold temperatures.
