A pet dog that resembled the movie character Pennywise appeared to glare while dressed in a birthday outfit.

Footage shows five-year-old pooch named Pipo wearing a blue outfit with a bib in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 19. The bib words 'happy birthday' written on it.

Pipo also had a festive party hat on, but his eyes were opened wide, and he had a wrinkly forehead, making him look annoyed.

The tiny canine had large ears with long fur, while its two eyes had black spots on white hair.

His colour, eyes, and wrinkling in the forehead gave him an amusing resemblance to the horror clown.

Pet owner Aksaraphan Plianphan said: 'That was what happened when we made him dress up for his birthday.'

Pennywise is a terrifying, shape-shifting clown from Stephen King's novel It, which was later adapted into a film.
