Teachers had an awesome school sports day game - with a giant volleyball.

The instructors ditched the traditional egg-and-spoon race to roll out the wacky activity at a college in the Philippines.

Footage shows the first team serving the inflatable that was 12ft (2m) in diametre to the other side of the net in Pampanga province on February 12.

The massive balloon was caught by their opponents and tossed back to them.

The ball was heaved back and forth among the two sides until one group of teachers failed to grab it.

Teacher Ronan Naga said: 'It was part of the school event. The giant volleyball required teamwork and was a lot of fun to play.'

Giant volleyball is a variation of traditional volleyball played with an oversized ball, usually much larger than a standard ball. It is often used for fun, team-building exercises, or physical education classes.
