Dozens of seals gather on Cornwall beach cove
Dozens of seals gathered on a secluded beach in Cornwall to rest.
Imogen Toulson, 30, was hiking when she spotted more than 60 seals gathered on a beach cove along the coast path from Polly Joke Beach near St Austell.
Seals are known to visit the area at low tide but Imogen was amazed by the sheer number that had gathered on the sand.
Imogen, a stay-at-home mum from St Austell, Cornwall, said: "It is normal to see seals here under the right conditions but I was shocked to see so many. "
"There had to be at least 60 on the sand and even more in the ocean."
"It's always lovely to see them in the wild but it was amazing to see so many in one place."
"I could honestly sit on the coast path all day watching the seals sleep and play."
"It's such a special experience to see something like this for free, and I feel so lucky to have it on my doorstep."
While seal sightings are common along the Cornish coastline, walkers are warned to keep their distance and avoid disturbing them.
Signs along the coast path urge visitors to keep dogs on leads and respect the wildlife.
