This is the terrifying moment five huge pythons were caught hiding in a pensioner's home in Thailand.

Shocked resident Tui Suwanbang, 62, was sweeping her yard when she found the family of Burmese pythons huddled together in a corner of her concrete fence in Kamphaeng Phet province, on February 18.

The frantic housewife screamed as the pile of snakes, each spanning around 10ft, wriggled on the ground. She called snake catchers for help fearing the massive reptiles would attack her.

A wildlife team arrived at the scene after receiving her call at around 8:30 am.

Footage shows the volunteers dragging the pythons out onto the yard one by one. They then placed the captured snakes into separate sacks to be released into nature.

The relieved homeowner said: 'There haven't been many snakes inside my house before, so I was horrified to see five pythons here all at once.

‘I was scared so I called the rescue team for help to remove them from my yard. The pythons were probably all from the same family, so they were likely looking for a safe place to stay and feed.'

Burmese pythons are among the world's largest snakes and are native to Southeast Asia. They can reach lengths of up to 20ft and 200 pounds in weight. They are non-venomous and subdue their prey by coiling around and crushing them.
