Six residents were injured while fleeing a massive fire in Delhi.

The blaze erupted on the second floor of a house in the Janata Market area of Nangloi around 9:45 pm on Monday, February 17.

Horrifying footage shows the fire engulfing the structure as one local courageously jumps from the building to avoid being trapped while neighbours attempt to catch him on the ground.

Three fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the blaze, which was brought under control by 11 pm. The injured victims were taken to Pushpanjali Hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.

In a separate incident, on February 8, a gas cylinder explosion caused a shop fire in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The explosion occurred inside a home when the gas canister detonated, but no injuries were reported.
