Tourist seen on dashcam jumping off tuktuk with flying shoe
This is the bizarre moment a tourist jumped from a moving bus - sending his shoes flying into cars behind.
The attention-seeking passenger appeared to ignore road safety rules as he leaned out of the moving pink tuk tuk in Phuket, Thailand, on February 20.
Dashcam footage shows the man cheekily waving at cars behind while filming a selfie video on his phone.
He then stuck his leg outside, only for his shoe to slip off his foot.
The tourist tried to chase after the footwear, but stumbled from momentum when he frantically leapt onto the road.
He flailed cartoonishly on the tarmac, launching his other shoe toward oncoming cars.
The bus was seen pulling over on the roadside to check on the fallen passenger.
The driver said: 'He was probably trying to go viral by playing around in the bus. What he did was quite reckless, and he could have endangered other people with his actions.'
Phuket has become one of Asia's most popular tourist destinations, but it has also attracted criminals and rowdy holidaymakers. Many come from Russia - dodging the draft for a life in the sun.
Furious locals have been blaming the Thai government's free visa policy for the influx of 'low-quality tourists' in the country. The scheme was implemented to boost income from Thailand's tourism industry.
