A sweet mermaid swimmer delighted little girls watching her at an ocean park in the Philippines.

Footage shows Cherry Lyn Naza, or Mermaid Cherry, waving to the youngsters who went closer to the tank when she glided by in Cebu province.

Mermaid Cherry gestured a drew with her fingers a heart shape underwater, making the kids even more excited.

The professional swimmer blew them a bubbly kiss before returning to the surface while the girls jumped and returned her gestures.

The mermaid performer said: 'When you are swimming in the tank, you will not see their faces. You will only see blurred colours and lights.

'However, I can feel their excitement through their jumps, waves, and little hands touching the tank. It is pure bliss.'
